Steel Cuts, are made using our premium oat groats and cutting the groat into 3 small uniform pieces.


This product offers a slightly quicker digestibility than whole groats, while maintaining the same core nutritional benefits.


They are hearty, chewy texture with nutty flavour. They cook faster than whole oat groats, because of the smaller pieces. 


Uses:

  • Common in oat food products like, oatmeal, quick oats, porridge, overnight oats, and baked goods. All of which require the steel cuts to be further processed to achieve food grade ready to eat. 
  • Are used in pet food as a nutritious and high-fiber ingredient to support a dog's digestive health, provide sustained energy, and deliver essential vitamins and minerals
  • Ideal for birdfood, they are nutrient dense, high fibre, high protein. Makes great bird seed blends, and we have the ability to offer coloured steel cuts in Red, Green, Blue, Yellow and Orange.
